“We had a wonderful stay at Black Bear Lodge. The property was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax and feel at home. The accommodations were spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the amenities provided everything we needed for an enjoyable visit. The location was great, offering a peaceful atmosphere while still being convenient. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and we would gladly stay here again. Highly recommend Black Bear Lodge to anyone looking……

“Very reasonable price for a location near historic Lancaster. The home and furnishings are a little tired and need some attention and updating, but we were OK with things. Parking can be tricky, because it's on the street. There are signs stating that street cleaning is on certain days, so you can't park in that area during those days/times.”

“All was great, street parking was an issue only because we had a birthday party there, 4 vehicles needed to park and parking was limited.”

“Booked this through VRBO expecting an apartment, but it turned out to be a traditional motel. The rooms were clean, but overall the property is fairly dated, with visible scuffs and smudges on the doors and walls. The room was smaller than expected, though reasonable given the price point. We were hoping for a simple, rustic or Amish-like character, but the overall feel was more along the lines of a basic roadside short-stay motel. Fine if you just need a clean bed for an overnight, but not……

“Great location. Interior of property was as described. Exterior patio and yard could use a little love. Our dog was unable to use yard first day and grass is hard to come by in the neighborhood.”

“Great location. Close to restaurants, museum, coffee shops. Very clean! And the convenience of the parking garage so close to the property is really nice. The only negative was the many stairs (34) up to unit 2 on the 3rd floor. I would definitely stay here again IF I could get the 2nd floor unit and cut the climb in half to 17 stairs!!! ”
