This small ranching town hosts the annual Lometa Diamondback Jubilee where you can watch snake handlers and enjoy Texas barbecue. Explore the historic downtown area with its vintage storefronts or visit nearby Colorado Bend State Park for hiking trails and waterfalls.
We stayed in the camper trailer. It was very spacious, comfortable, clean, and AC worked wonderfully. The TV swivels. That was a bonus. My husband fished from right outside since we were literally right on the lake. Even though the place was fully booked, it was very quiet and peaceful. People were swimming down the way from us. Just beautiful scenery and location. Very attentive and polite staff.

We had a lovely cabin with a beautiful lake view. It was very quiet. Our only issue was the condition of the furniture The mattress was a bit saggy. It took a few pulls to get to a standing position from sitting down on the futons and chairs. The kitchen and bathrooms were up to date. The porch was fabulous.
