Excellent location if dividing time between West End, South Bank, South Kensington Museums & the parks. Ten minute or so walk to Sloane Square & S Ken Underground’s. The apartment amenities were comprehensive enough but the property itself is in need of some TLC - it’s showing it’s age (built 1930’s). Particularly tiresome were the ill-fitting original 1930’s metal windows - some of which were rather draughty. But the central heating system was at least up to the job of keeping the rooms generally warm; just don’t sit by a window! For its location, it was priced about right, but these days, one expects a higher standard of maintenance. There was a lot of evidence of wear & tear, which really does need attending to. On such a 600 apartment property, clearly, the cost of a refurb would be eye-wateringly expensive. Nevertheless, we will probably return if needing self-catering accommodation in that particular part of London, but only if the prices do not go up much above current levels.
