Very convenient, confortable flat
My adult daughter was with me so she used the front room with its pullout couch as a bedroom. This worked well but the room was a bit noisy for sleeping. The adjacency to Regent’s Park was lovely and the flat is close to the British Library. The West End is walking distance. When we had a little electrical emergency Darren had it fixed in a few hours. All told, a very satisfactory and pleasant place to stay.

Just an average stay
The location of the apartment was wonderful. Very easy access to the metro, grocery and restaurants. Communication with the owner was excellent throughout our stay. The apartment is in need of a few things: 1. A good cleaning. The carpets are stained and dirty. Kitchen appliances and stove ware were very dusty and needed to be washed prior to using. 2. The microwave has been broken for several months but remains in the apartment and is listed as an amenity. This should be replaced. 3. The owner of the apartment should remove their clothes from drawers, closets, nightstands, medicine cabinets, refrigerator etc prior to people renting. It’s odd to have all the personal belongings clutter the space and we couldn’t really unpack properly for the week we were there. 4. The apartment is quite noisy with street traffic and sirens as the windows are very old. This is a city, so we understand there is little to be done about this but renters should be aware. Also, even at night it is pretty bright in the apartment as the light shines in from the hallway outside and the blinds are pretty poor.

Read this if you are thinking of staying here!
Most of my ratings were four or five stars but overall a three. Sounds weird but some important things were not captured by the individual ratings. I read reviews on this unit, don’t remember anything negative but Here is what I would like to have known before using this unit - The bed, the Brits love there small little beds, really don’t know how a couple survive sleeping together but also because the bed had a frame around it it was too short for me (6’3”) to sleep properly. I am so happy to now be in a hotel with a decent sized bed so I can finally get some sleep. If you are ok with such a bed than here is next point. Air conditioning- there was none which we knew but will not stay in a unit (in summer) without air conditioning again. We lucked out as the England heat wave was just ending so we survived with windows open all night. Any hotter and would have been unbearable. Get a portable air conditioner? Stuff - The owner of the unit left way too much stuff everywhere. There was food left in the fridge, clothes in most of the drawers and lots of nicknacks. Get rid of stuff? The bathroom - the shower was really small, a weird glass contraption that wrapped around you while standing in the bathtub. And more water came out of the back side then the front. Mr Bean could have used it in his comedy show. The sink had a medicine cabinet/mirror over top jutting out the same distance so you couldn’t spit into the sink after brushing teeth. Utterly bizarre set up!

Great Location for our stay
We found the location to be perfect for our needs - close to Regent’s Park and the underground, walking distance to small groceries and takeout places, not overly busy but lively. The pub downstairs was a great spot to grab a quick drink after a day of sightseeing. The flat was a little tight for two adults and two kids (11 and 13) but we made it work. Only minor complaint was the microwave was out of order but not a big deal. Comfortable beds, clean linens and towels - would recommend!

Best for a long weekend
We stayed here for 2 1/2 weeks. The location was pretty good, it was right near Regent's Park and a walk to the bus or tube. There wasn't much else going on in the neighborhood though. It was both a business area and amidst council housing. The biggest issue was that the downstairs neighbor complained about the noise from my 3 year old. We were only there for breakfast, dinner and bedtime. So we were on edge the whole time. I would not recommend staying here with a child, for that reason, and also it's a small and old apartment with lots of breakables and quirks. The quirks were: Separate hot/cold taps, very small bathroom sink and odd shower, pullout sofa took up the entire living room. no microwave, gas stove that needs to be lit, small dining table, only one small desk fan amidst the heat wave. I wouldn't describe the apt. as comfortable. It would be more than fine for 2 adults for a long weekend. But for our length of stay it wasn't great.
