This is our second stay at Doghouse, Columbus, the first time being in 2022. The room was clean but a little tired this time but the breakfast was better and the stay was worthwhile. Staff went from excellent to very poor. We had dinner in the main bar and Lily was outstanding. In the hotel bar/reception on the evening of our stay, 2 staff were sitting in a corner on their mobile phones and then they disappeared. My husband waited 25 minutes to get a drink and still no staff. He eventually went to the fridge and helped himself. When the receptionist finally came back, he told her what he had done and wanted to pay. She then expected a tip!! The hotel staff in the morning were absolutely fine but I suggest the evening staff find a job that they actually like.

The house was nicely decorated. The kitchen was fully equipped. The host was very responsive when we had questions. Large living space allowed adults and kids to have their own space. We will stay here next time we are in town.
