The property is really out dated but the room I was in was very clean and well organize the stairways were very clean elevator clean very thoughtful. Just out dated and people hanging out late nothing the property can really do unfortunately.

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at the Colony Inn, which I booked through Expedia. This hotel is a total scam. The rooms are disgusting, outdated, and extremely dirty. The moment we arrived, we were hit with the strong smell of cigarettes, despite having requested a smoke-free room. The bed was riddled with hair and bugs, and the furniture was broken and filthy. The linens were not properly washed and looked used. Their website and pics are so misleading. Although Tony from reception was very sweet and accommodating, the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt unsafe and very uneasy. We felt so uncomfortable that we decided not to stay and left immediately. Thankfully, Expedia came through and credited us part of what we spent, but I strongly recommend they stop doing business with such a terrible hotel. Save yourself the trouble and avoid the Colony Inn at all costs!

The room had recent updates (I'd guess within 5 years), but was not upkept. There was mold on the ceiling ringing the shower which did not drain well so we stood in a puddle during each shower. The beds are spring mattresses that are definitely past their 10 year period and lumpy/loud as can be. While the price was right and the room overall was clean (no stained sheets) there wasn't evidence of bugs it didn't feel very safe given that every time we turned in the guys at the homeless encampment nearby watched our every move. They didn't bother us though; what did was the guy who slowly walked past our room staring in and then standing next to our window when we closed the blinds. The staff was nice and helpful. Overall if you need a place to stay it's not the worst, but there are definitely improvements that could be made.

Easy check in we arrived after spending the day at Unviversal studios (checked in around 9pm) room was clean beds were comfy and they allowed us to check out at noon with no extra charge.
