“We had a lovely few days in this quaint cottage. There is everything you need and very close to the village pub, where they let us park our car, as not really ideal outside the cottage. Will definitely return if we go back to the Lake Distruct.”

“Wonderful set up at The Lodge. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a small family break. All the mod cons, particularly liked the electric window blinds. Kitchen facilities was excellent and more than adequate. We also took our own coffee machine for that extra home comfort. Location was pretty central for the places we wanted to visit. Windermere was only 40 minutes away with stunning views of the country side on route. Hot Tube was a lovely touch and well maintainedAll in all a lovely break away...

“This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all...

“This was an excellent place to stay, with historic ironworks in front, whitewater in behind, and a real steam-engine train passing by that looked like something out of a story book. There are two flights of 17 steps each, for a total of 34 steps to get to the flat, and then 14 more inside the cottage to get to the bedroom.
