"Cabin was wonderful. Loved the porch overlooking the mountains. And loved the fireplace. The first time driving up the mountain to the cabin was a bit scary (when you're use to flat Florida land); but worth it with the beautiful view. Host was very responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommend when you need a quiet away vacation from the craziness of life. "

"yes, there were shops nearby. The parking was okay but a little tight for a full size pickup. The room was really dirty, floors, the recliner, the bath room was also unclean. The room was advertised as handicap accessible, the shower did have grab bars but the toilet was low with no grab bars. I only walk with handicap aid such as canes or walkers and I certainly require grab bars around a toilet. Before bringing our bags into the room, my wife asked the staff if we could have a different room with at least grab bars around the toilet and we were told there were none available until the next day and then she was not sure that room would have grab bars in the shower. She told my wife that she could not be expected to know what every room had. We did stay the night but will never return. The room ended up costing us $179.00 for the one night, a Friday night why the increased cost according to the staff. I assure you this room should never cost anyone $179.00 on any night of the year. It was certainly a rip-off. I believe this motel and the lack of staff care should have some level of QUALITY CONTROL now and in the future. Please don't take negative reviews lightly."

"This is a hidden gem for sure. It is unique and “classic” in some sense, and the staff is very friendly Like the fact they have rocking chair outside each room. Overall provides a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Not like anything you experience at most places nowadays (Especially the big chains). It’s also right next to a local breakfast shop. Nice Mountain View Highly recommend folks give this place a shot. "
