Good airport hotel only a $S20 taxi fare away, or one stop on the train ... station was very close (2 mins walk to station and 5 mins walk/escalators to get to the airport platform). The train to the airport takes 10 minutes and it is a direct airport line.
Hotel room was huge, nicely done and had a kitchenette. There is a big shopping centre right next door with lots of food stalls and restaurants.
And my hotel criticism is that I had emailed them to say I was arriving at 6 am after a long flight ... yet the air-conditioning was not on. So I had to stay awake for extra time to get the hot and humid room to cool down. They should have had the room ready.
But the bed was very comfortable, the towels were fluffy and the staff were helpful and friendly. I didn't use the pool because it was raining. I don't think I would stay there if I was going to Singapore for a holiday as I would want more of a tourist vibe (it is in a business park not a tourist area per se), but it was well priced and had very good facilities for an airport layover.
