“We enjoyed our stay at La Casa del Alux in February and would stay there again. It was a very positive, though not perfect, apartment in a quiet part of the town on a lagoon. We liked the cleanliness of the apartment, the functional air conditioner, the very pleasant housecleaner Bety, the location, and the nice balcony with a hammock. The apartment is three blocks from the beach and two blocks away from Bilu, the best breakfast/brunch restaurant we found on the island. It was an easy 10……

“Great hotel on the west side of the island. Quiet, clean, and comfortable. 10 minutes walk to Punta Coco. Far from town (25 minute walk or 200 peso taxi) but that was what we wanted. Excellent shower in the room, incredible view of the entire area from the top of the hotel. Luis the manager was wonderful as well. Very kind and helpful. The pool was a little cloudy and scummy. I believe something was broken but we still swam in it. We would definitely stay again. ”

“Quiet part of the island. We loved that. Staff went above and beyond to fill our needs. We were surprised that the “continental breakfast” was actually a FULL hot breakfast. Loved the fresh fruit! We rented bikes as the hotel is 1 mile from town, but close to the best beaches on island! ”
