Amazing Ocean Views, Game Room & Modern Design | Aloha Breeze 932 by AvantStay

"Three generations of our family truly enjoyed our stay here to celebrate Grandma’s 87th birthday. The layout of the house was absolutely perfect for five people. We had breakfast on the patio every morning, with the ocean off in the distance and numerous birds (and “Jurassic” snails) to keep us entertained. Along with its fabulous configuration, the house was immaculately clean, there were plenty of towels, and the beach towels were also plentiful (and easily washed every day after snorkeling). A huge plus for me was that it has an electric tea kettle. But bring your own snorkel and mask and fins if you’re a serious snorkeler. The west side of Oahu is not touristy; and the two lane road with numerous speed bumps makes getting to and from the house a tad tedious at night, but during the day offers wonderful ocean views. Snorkeling at Electric Beach is about a 20-25 minute drive from the house and has good snorkeling and a lifeguard. And a little further south is the Aulani Disney resort where you can rent loungers and an umbrella and have beach waitstaff bring drinks and food to your lounger. The snorkeling there is just okay (not tons to see) but a very safe bay; and you can’t beat having someone bring you a lava flow and fruit plate while basking on a gorgeous beach! In sum, this is a perfect house for a family vacation; I highly recommend it. It is nice being away from the touristy spots—and still get an açaí bowl five minutes from the house!"

Tranquil Vacation Home in Makaha Valley Near Beach w/Exterior Dining & Bbq

Tranquil Vacation Home in Makaha Valley Near Beach w/Exterior Dining & Bbq

8/10 Good
"We really enjoyed our two-week stay. The house was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and had wonderful views. Most of the furniture was very comfortable, including the outdoor furniture. There were a few things that could have made our stay even better. The hot water heater stopped working on arrival day, but management responded promptly and eventually determined the timer was the issue. The dryer did not work properly, and the ice maker and vacuum cleaner did not work at all. For a two-week stay, only three dishwasher pods seemed insufficient. More large mixing bowls and enough coffee mugs for the maximum occupancy of 8–10 guests would also be helpful. We also found it unusual to have to replace toilet paper during our stay.A printed welcome book would be a great addition for guests who prefer something other than digital information. It could include garbage days, entry codes, house rules, restaurant recommendations, sightseeing, excursions, and local costs. Information about preparing for tropical storms or hurricanes, along with a flashlight and candles for possible power outages, would also be helpful.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning. Addressing these items would make an already nice property even better for future guests."

Sleep 12, Hot Tub, Beach 5 min, Oahu West Side

"The house overall met our needs for a stay-cation weekend for eight people. There were plenty of comfortable beds and the house was spacious and well-stocked. We were slightly disappointed by some of the interior features, as there were several lightbulbs out throughout the house, loose drawer pulls, and the fridge ice machine was broken. There was also dust under the beds, tissue shreds in the bathrooms, and the counters were not clean when we came in. These were small things overall, but did affect our experience upon arrival, and it is important to me that the house is clean when we arrive. We were also surprised by the amount of security cameras throughout the house/property. We were aware there were outside facing cameras in the front, but didn't realize there were also cameras in the backyard and the garage, and the discovery of these was a surprise upon arrival. While we recognize that security can be an issue, it did feel uncomfortable to use the backyard (including the hot tub) and the game area in the garage, knowing we were being recorded. We booked the house feeling excited about the backyard and hot tub, but used it much less than we planned to, due to the discomfort of being recorded while in a swimsuit and/or having personal conversations. Overall, the house was good, and we enjoyed our stay, but some attention to details inside the house and additional disclosure of the security cameras would have helped create the perfect stay."

"Very nice place. Plenty of towels, kitchenware etc. Small grill. There was charcoal there but not sure if that is normal. They had coffee, creamer, salt and pepper and other everyday items. Def wotht the price we paid and we wanted to travel around the island so it was a bit far from most tourist spots but we liked it. Traffic is not bad. Lots of beaches close by. Easy access. Only down fall is the distance to tourist spot but if you dont mind driving a few extra minutes then I would recommend the property. Also, nice pool and hot tub close by"
