“Our family of six including parents in their 80s had a magical time at the Happy Trails cabin. The log construction is beautiful and reinforces the cozy, warm feeling of the home. We've been staying in the Mazama area for the last 30 years and love being near the Country Store and all the Mazama area has to offer. The OSH pub is a welcomed addition to this special part of the valley. The star-gazing is second to none and the peacefulness is so welcomed. The sauna is a lovely treat as is access……

“We really enjoy staying at The Inn At Mazama. It was quiet and clean room with a comfortable King bed, and a quiet AC/heater. There was a nice restaurant and a grocery store nearby. It was perfect place to stay and go hiking. We will definitely go back there!”

“Beyond words beautiful!! The setting is breathtaking and the cabin is perfect, just the right size and equipped with everything you need. The owner, Jim, was also incredibly kind and helpful….impeccable customer service and focus that you don’t tend to get anymore these days. They also have two beautiful wooden chairs by the river out the back door, which is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee and absorbing this small piece of Heaven! 10/10, BOOK IT, you will not be disappointed!!! ”

Pros: - Great location for cross x skiing - Kid friendly- toys & art stuff - Large family room and kitchen table - Really nice master bathroom Cons: - Washing machine was broken (and we were not told in advance even tho property manager was aware) - Small, uncomfortable beds (mattresses on the double beds in each bedroom were awful) - 3 bath towels (rest were in broken washing machine) - Dirty silverware -……

“This was our 5th time at Deer Run. This house is laid out well for our family, has good amenities, a great view of the mountains and wildlife to watch. This house works for two couples and several kids, or just a small family too. It has been over 5 years since we've stayed here; and know that the house has new owners. “Great spot for a hiking adventure with a drinking problem. 😉 Me, my bestie and my brother spent a full week enjoying the cabin, Mazama and the various trails, passes, peaks, lookouts and the stream behind us. Great kitchen and equipment let us pretty stay out which ticked after long days. Fully recommend TJ!”

“Quiet community about 15 minute drive from more developed town (Winthrop). Good fishing, rafting and tubing opportunities in area, as well as hiking and Nordic skiing. Very spacious, peaceful and comfortable lodge.”
