Poolside Retreat 100 steps to the OCEAN Pet Friendly NO SMOKING

This is an ideal getaway for a couple or single person. 100Ft from the Atlantic ocean and 8Ft from the pool. This is the ground floor unit of a 3 story private home. Owners occupy top floors . Our goal is to provide you with quiet and relaxing vacation. We strive to respect your privacy while being close enough to attend to any of your needs. There may be a chance you will be sharing the pool area with other guest or the owners.
You will most likely be greeted by our Border Collie Jax. Just pick up a frisbee and he will be your best friend!

2 Bicycles are for your use
PETS WILL BE CONSIDERED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. Please call or email me to discuss your fur baby. PETS MUST BE APPROVED before stay.
We are a NO SMOKING property. This includes around the pool or anywhere on the property.

Although common areas are shared with the owners & their guests, we ask that guests respect each other’s space in the backyard & pool area when commonly using it. All guests will have full access to shared pool, lounge area and yard. We do strive to maintain a relaxing & tranquil atmosphere. There will be times when you may have these areas completely to yourselves.

Owners reside on property with our Border Collie, Jax.
We have a large fenced yard for Jax and his new friends to play.

Because of security and insurance reasons we can only have registered guests on the property.

Slice of heaven

Although our favorite part of our stay was Jax and we miss him terribly already, everything about this place was perfect. Location, location, location. The property is a slice of heaven. The hosts are SO ACCOMMODATING. WE CAN NOT WAIT to go back!

Felt like home

Jen, Bill, and Jax made us feel very welcomed from the start and were very accommodating! The pool area was beautiful, quiet, and very relaxing. The beach was just a short walk across A1A with very few people! Overall a very nice vacation.

Lovely and Relaxing

We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment door is adjacent to the outdoor area with the pool. We loved sitting on the porch. The beach is across the street. It was a nice getaway to relax and unwind. Jen is very sweet.

Wonderful location and very gracious hosts

Everything was great, the only thing that was an issue was it was a little warm inside the rental. No thermostat in the bungalow and we ended up sweating away in the night. But a beautiful home and very friendly hone owners.

Beautiful cozy poolside relaxation retreat

Cute little stay away! Short walk to mostly private beach! Beautiful pool and property! Safe for our little doggies and made friends with Jax!! Jen was great very accommodating! We even got to see a rocket take off at night! Very cool!!

Fantastic Property

What an incredible experience! This retreat is truly a five star gem. The pool area, nestled amidst lush tropical landscaping, exudes a luxurious resort-like atmosphere. The ground floor unit was impeccably clean with top notch linens and a cozy queen bed. Communication with the owners was outstanding ; they were simply fantastic people who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. And who could forget Jax the resident border collie who we enjoyed playing frisbee with.. This retreat exceeded all expectations and provided an unforgettable weekend!

Quick getaway

Jen was the best hostess we’ve ever had in the many vrbo rentals we’ve enjoyed. We couldn’t get enough of the layout of their beautiful back yard. Jax was a wonderfully sweet fur baby we enjoyed playing with, and my husband enjoyed some great conversations with Billy. We were very cozy in our private home away from home, and everything needed was there for us to enjoy. There really is no better place across the street from the ocean than their home. I’m a convert…I used to always to stay oceanfront. No more. The quiet, quaint feel of their home will make you wish it was yours. Cheers!

Great location for enjoying the beach and wildlife in area

The host was wonderful about suggesting restaurants to try and things to do. You can walk to beach easily where we observed a hatching sea turtle going to ocean, 2 sea turtles in evening going to lay eggs. Short drive to Sebastian Inlet State Park where we saw manatees, huge rays, sea turtles swimming in ocean, lots of birds and enjoyed swimming. Short drive to Pelican Island Wildlife Refuge where we saw lots of birds. Close to grocery store. Wonderful bike/walking paved path right outside the door. The pool was fantastic with a great covered area with comfy furniture to hang out. It was like our own tropical retreat!

I have been all over the place! I rented this place because it was so close to the beach! Didn't need the beach? The pool was great! The doggy friends made us miss ours a little less! I will be back for sure. My family in Melbourne loved the property so much! They came for lunch most days becuase my Dad had radiation in the afternoons. The owners are wonderful people! They accommodated our daughter at the last minute so she could see her sick grandfather. There is lots of shade and sun to enjoy around that wonderful pool. We enjoyed every minute while staying at this property. The stores are very close. Just picked up what we needed when we wanted. I would recommend this property to anyone! Thanks to Jen, Bill and our doggy friends:)

Great location

The property has a lovely decor but small living areas. The kitchen is very small and is part of the living room. Cookware and utencils are sparce and minimal. The kitchen sink if very tiny. As such, this property is more suitable for a couple who eat out most of the time. However, the property is a paradise for people who love to play with dogs, especially border collies. If you have a pet, it's advisable to check with the host if your pet is compatible with a typical energetic border collie, Jax. Luckily our black lab played well with Jax. The propery also has a fenced yard and a swimming pool, so humans and dogs can play frisbee and tennis ball in or in the water. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Finally, there is a private path across the highway A1A to the sparsely used but very nice beach facing the Atlantic.

Nice accommodations near Melbourne Beach

From the reviews, photos, and property description, we were expecting a stay free from everyday annoyances, but that is not exactly what we experienced. As described, the apartment was conveniently located to the beach and nicely decorated as the more recent photos on the web page show; however, several things distracted from the accommodation: Before our arrival, the pool had not been cleaned; we found tennis balls, debris, and rocks on the pool bottom and a broken underwater light. The deck area had a large child playset and toys not depicted in the pictures, making us feel like interlopers, not guests. Contrary to listing pictures, yard fencing needed repair. The property had political paraphernalia prominently displayed that we found tacky and off-putting. The air conditioning consisted of a free-standing mobile unit (not visible in any of the property photos) in the kitchen/living room space that could not be run while the microwave, coffee maker, or other small appliance was in operation. Although apprised of such upon arrival, it was a nuisance to remember and even more annoying to have to go outside to the garage to reset the circuit breaker when it blew. The cruising bikes shown in owners’ photos no longer exist. When we inquired about those bikes, the owner showed us different style bikes, then admitted they may-or-may-not be ready for our use. All in all, the location was good, the unit nicely appointed, and the atmosphere enjoyable.

Anniversary Getaway

We chose this location for the relaxing pool, outdoor area and close proximity to beach. It didn’t disappoint. We found ourselves relaxing poolside, on the porch then in the evening enjoying the fire pit. You must be a dog lover, as the owners do have a friendly border collie named Jax. Can’t wait to go back.

Wonderful beach retreat

The owners are very nice (and their dogs are too). The apartment is very clean and comfortable. The process was very easy and the location is wonderful! Will definitely look to stay here again when we come visit next time
