“The staff were all friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room a good size. The food was good without being exceptional. The hotel is a little tired and dated but we were very happy and their attitude to dogs being indoors was first class. We will be back I’m sure.”

“Hotel is very pet-friendly and hence the reason for our visit. We stayed in a 1 bedroom cottage which was ideal for us and our dog. The only criticism is the food at Spike's Bar (at the golf club) was a little bit disappointing.”

Our family room was clean and spacious with the beds made in a king and two singles configuration. The plug in fan a welcome addition during the heatwave. Tea/coffee and biscuits on offer in the room. Breakfast was delicious with a great assortment of cereals, white/seeded breads and preserves and various cooked options.”

“On entering the hotel you will be met by warm and inviting staff. off to the left of the reception is an insanely stocked whisky lounge but prices are on the steep side for you average dram. There is a 24 bar located en route to the rooms and an Aperol was £18!!! scandalous. Charlies is the main restaurant and breakfast area. breakfast was good but the plates were weirdly small, slightly bigger than a side plate. the smell of the “Smokies” reeked out the lobby at the lifts and filled the……

“There was a large party downstairs (floor below) on the Saturday night we stayed there. Music from DJ was very loud and pounding/felt in our room until after midnight preventing sleep. The Restaurant was unavailable due to the party. I wouldn’t recommend booking a room on this property when the downstairs facilities are booked in this way.”

“The Hotel is a little dated but the norm for a town like Coldstream. The food was good, the breakfast excellent and the staff really cared about the clients. We enjoyed it and the locals were friendly and the service for our dog excellent.”
