“This was a lovely place to stay which we chose partly because it has some EV charging facilities. The restaurant and bar have a good selection with well kept beer and the staff are helpful and friendly. We especially recommend the panna cotta, however, all the food was good. The bedroom and bathroom were a good size and well appointed with tea, coffee and water. We would visit again ”

“We had a nice stay while doing the Borders Abbeys Way, beds were comfortable, staff were very friendly. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of options and we also had dinner in the restaurant. The bar was a meeting place for locals which gave it a nice community atmosphere.”

Our hosts discussed the accommodation itself followed by a welcoming brew and a chat regarding the local area, places to eat and our breakfast order for the morning. “Excellent and would highly recommend stay, food and junior suite with hot tub. Areas of improvement: Old plumbing pipes by the hot tub in room 24 fires off unpleasant scents here and there and staff could be a bit more friendly and approachable.”

“Great choices for breakfast (many healthy options too.) We ate our evening meal there too which was also very good. Bedroom was quiet and we slept like logs! Very central location on thriving high st with a great range of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Many walks from this location too. We will use again for sure.”
