"Basic room was perfect for one night stay. But the bar/restaurant was closed so we had to travel for food and drinks. Seems Friday and Saturday are the only nights anything is open."

"Beautiful location. We had a river-view room. Room was clean and comfortable with kids. TV was new allowing streaming apps. Breakfast was above average. Staying in this hotel was relaxing and price was reasonable. We visisted on Labor day so the hotel's restaurant did not offer dinner service. Penn Yan is a small town so not many restaurant options on the holiday. It would be nice if the restaurant keeps meal options whole day regardless of a holiday."

"Nice, Labor Day stay in a lovely setting! We stayed in a room in the lodge, which was basic but exactly what we were looking for in a one-night stay to attend a nearby wedding. (Friends stayed in a yurt, so we were able to peek inside, and that was large and, they said, comfortable too.) Clean, a good size, and most of what we needed was there, including a fridge. The staff members with whom we dealt were VERY, VERY SWEET! Very hospitable, friendly...they even let us check in early so we could get ready! We had a nice, little patio unobstructed by vehicles....some of the rooms had no view from their patios because cars were parked right there, so if you want an unobstructed view of the outdoors, request a second-floor room. The evening fire tables are a nice, cozy place to wind down after busy days. Wish the pool was a little bit cleaner and heated a bit. A small microwave in the room would also be a nice touch. There was no coffee maker in the room, however, they serve coffee and muffins, free to guests, in a separate building near reception. The stay, even booked through Expedia, was a little more expensive than I think this category lodge should be (it would have been even more had we not booked through a third-party site), but it was a wedding weekend for us, so we didn't mind the extra splurge that comes with such events, Other than that, however, we loved this lodge and especially its location, close to so much. We will be back if we can find a good deal or promo code!"

"The property was in a good location. Short distance to down town restaurants etc. The rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful and courteous. Breakfast included was not very good. If you are up for a bagel or muffin and some yogurt, no problem. The breakfast sandwiches were terrible. Overall, would stay there again and bring breakfast items with me or go out."
