“Was disappointed when we found a roach in the pool area shortly after arrival. Thankfully it was dead but definitely made me feel uneasy about the rest of our stay. However, the staff was kind and location was ideal plenty of food and gas near by.”

“This place is well-maintained for how old it is, and it was fun to stay in such a historic building. Surface cleaning is spotless, but a deeper clean is not really great (e.g., ceiling fans). Our room did not have a TV so we had to watch in the living room. We had to share a bathroom. Kind of frustrating for a room with kids, but it was on the booking. Just didn’t catch it somehow. The pillows could use a regular update. The breakfast was better than a traditional continental breakfast, but not……

“Do not book this hotel it is disgusting we have travelled extensively & we could not believe what we walked into and just as quickly left and found a better hotel. I would suggest Expedia take it off the booking site.the only thing that could fix this hotel would be a bulldozer.”

“It was clean, new and nicely located. The fitness gym needed a new filter change. The bed was very comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. I would stay at the hotel again.”

“We have stayed here before and always loved it but this visit was less than pleasant. We called to confirm accessible amenities for our daughter and had to speak to 3 different front desk staff to get any answers. The lobby was dirty with ice cream spilled on the floor. and the front desk staff sat on their phones. Our room was not completely cleaned. When we went to use the lift for the pool it hadn’t been charged so wasn’t operational. It was not a great stay and the staff seemed to not care……

“They advertise a pool and it’s the middle of summer and it’s closed. Also, their mention of a breakfast we all in and there are 2 different cereals a waffle machine maker an apple and orange juice machine which dispenses only water. Very disappointing.”

“Our door would not lock, the AC in the room was leaking, and the bathroom door was unable to be closed because it was broken off of its hinges. There were people fighting outside our room for a good 3 hours and we were unable to sleep. There were also bodily fluids outside near our room.”

“We recently stayed at Drury Plaza Hotel in Richmond while attending a 40th wedding anniversary celebration in the DMV, and our experience exceeded our expectations. We chose Drury because a new location recently opened near us in Brandon, FL. Although we haven’t stayed there yet, it’s been incredibly popular, so when I saw the Richmond location on Expedia with an additional discount, I booked it.
