Hotel Nautilus

10/10 Excellent

"Pleasant stay. The breakfast was top notch. They don’t have a concierge but the front desk had good suggestions about to do. They have bikes for the guests to use. It’s right across the from the beach. There is a pedestrian walkway along the beach for cyclists, walkers, joggers etc and only one lane of traffic. The promenade extends about 8 kilometers. Also plenty of beach bars for people watching. My only disappointment was the lack of a coffee maker in the room."

"Superb hotel right opposite the marina in Cagliari. Great location, a few minutes walk from the main restaurant area, and easy access to the city centre, either on foot or by bus. We had a room overlooking the marina and main road, the double glazing was super-effective and cut out all the traffic noise. The air conditioning was excellent too. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean, with attractive modern decor. The staff at reception were welcoming, and couldn’t have been more helpful, absolutely brilliant! Breakfast was in keeping with the size of the hotel, a selection of cold meats, cheese, breads, and pastries. There was also the option of hot scrambled eggs with either smoked salmon or bacon, served to order, which we really appreciated, along with fresh coffee. The hotel is on the third floor, you reach reception via a lift at the side of the building. A great little hotel, where the guests are welcomed and nothing is too much trouble, well done Hotel Aristeo!"

"The property was beautiful, more like a ranch. There are many animals to see as you talk a walk around the property. (Even a Camel) Once you enter the gates, you are in your own resort. I had a nice patio to enjoy the evenings with a glass of wine. The included breakfast was perfect. I also enjoyed a few lunches while on property. I treated myself to a delicious dinner at the restaurant (a short walking distance). (Make reservations at the hotel reception.) The staff were wonderful…the reception, director, servers, and nighttime bartenders! It also had a beautiful pool to relax beside and take a quick dip. (Much needed due to the extreme heat when visiting.) I enjoyed the location as it was 30 minutes west of the busy city of Cagliari. An easy drive to Chia, and on to the west side of the island. A definite recommendation!"

The Village - Chia Laguna Sardinia

"Lovely room with mini fridge, great shower and balcony and really comfortable beds. Brilliant free activities for kids and teens morning 10am, afternoon 3pm and night 9pm. Watch out for the special kids activities like art classes that come with an extra charge as these at €25 are quite pricey. Activities for adults and kids are shared across three hotels in Chia Laguna so padel and table tennis were across the road but only a couple of minutes walk. There was no yoga on when we stayed which was disappointing. Food at Domus restaurant was plentiful and varied, no junk food which was great but no pizza or gelati (if you want pizza or ice cream you need to buy it from the piazza bar). Restaurant servers were not very friendly, except for the guys bringing out the food who were excellent and very helpful. There is an optional surcharge added to your bill on check out for tips for waiting staff. There is handy free road train that goes to the beautiful sandy beach nearby every 15 minutes which is brilliant. The water is clear and safe for swimming. There is a beach bar for drinks snd ice cream and an excellent water sports centre. We went horse riding near the hotel: 1hr beginners ride €45pp. We only spent a little time by the hotel pool which has a snack bar because the sun beds were so hard and uncomfortable. The beach sun loungers are divided up by hotel so the Village section has hard sun loungers. Conrad guests get lovely padded loungers so we used them in the back row."
