The rooms were perfect for us. Supercute and cozy. I appreciated the refrigerator and free coffee and tea. Close to the beach for a nice early walk.

This is an old Carmel property that appears to have new owners that are doing a fairly bad DIY remodel of the rooms. The Bad: No on-premise parking. Many stairs but no handrails. No kleenex or bedside clock. Very noisy plumbing. A really bad shower tile job - missing grout. Paint spattered on the windows. A very hard bed with cheap polyester linen and one blanket. The Good: Great Carmel location

The hotel outside was dated but our room was nicely remodeled. Our room had a little water view through the trees. The room was spacious and location was very convenient. Parking lot was small but there was street parking. Only problem was front desk was not open 24/7, so when our carbon monoxide alarm was beeping, we needed to call the emergency line. Also, I had to request to have a coffee maker so I wouldn’t have to go down the stairs early in the morning to get hot water from the office. Overall, we liked it there and will stay there again.
