"The property was beautiful and the hotel was clean and we enjoyed our stay. The food was delicious and fresh. Love the farm to table experience and the food growing throughout the property. The only negative was our safe key didn’t work and wasn’t fixed as requested. Erik went above and beyond to ensure an item we left behind was couriered to our next destination. Thank you. "Fantastic hotel! We really enjoyed our stay. Very nice staff, the pools were amazing. Do note that the pools/hot springs fluctuate in temperature depending on volcanic activity, which I think is cool."

"My husband and I stayed here with our kids (ages 10-21) and the whole family loved it! The resort was clean, well kept, had beautiful views around every corner. The thermal springs are both easy to get to and tucked away and despite the busy tourism week, never felt overcrowded. "

"What a beautiful property! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hot springs (which stay open until about 3am), the views of the Arenal Volcano, the room amenities, the tasty (& varied breakfasts), the helpful staff, the views from our porch.... I could go on! Staf were helpful organising tours and we really liked how there was a coffee & tea station in reception as well as in the rooms. We also enjoyed our dinner at the on-site restaurant Surá. Highly recommended"

"Rancho de Lelo is located about a 30-minute drive from Monteverde, in the peaceful village of San Luis. The ranch is family-run by Lelo and his three adult children, which creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere throughout the property. The staff are exceptional, and the breakfasts are both generous and delicious. It’s an ideal place to unwind in the evenings after a day of exploring Monteverde and the surrounding area. This is an excellent choice for families. The cabins are thoughtfully designed, offering both comfort and privacy. We stayed in a unit with two separate bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, as well as a shared kitchen and living space—perfect for traveling with children. The mountain views are beautiful, and the night sky is spectacular, making it a memorable place to relax and connect with nature. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking for a peaceful retreat."

"Have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place! The grounds are incredible. They are filled with beautiful flowers and three different hiking trails. The room was excellent—very spacious, beautiful views of the forest, and we were able to see animals right outside our window. The restaurant on premise was wonderful for all meals. The staff went out of their way to help. Our flight got cancelled, and they reached out proactively and were able to book us a different driver from the airport to hotel. All tours can be booked on site. Truly wonderful experience! "

"Very helpful and friendly staff available to book last minute excursions and provide recommendations, including dealing with a flat tire. Breakfast was delicious. Walking distance to restaurants in Santa Elena and short distance to many activities in the Monteverde area. Highly recommend."
