Unfortunately, there was nobody to contact for immediate help (as is standard with a normal hotel). This became a big problem for us on the last two days of our stay when the plumbing in the shower failed and we could only get scalding hot water out of the shower. We hadn't encountered this problem in prior days and we didn't receive a response from the property manager (who had responded quickly to our earlier requests for more toilet paper) until we were already checked out of the room..."Good morning. can i send a handyman asap?" This message was sent to us on our train ride out of Edinburgh. We were on our way to London to see a show and have a nice meal in celebration of our anniversary...showerless! This happened during a heat wave, and there was also no AC in the apartment. UGH! For such a pricey rental, working showers ought to be available at a minimum. After repeated unanswered texts, I had also asked if there was a shower in a different unit that we could use, and never received a response to that text. The lack of response to a serious problem was very disappointing and it ruined the end of our trip. On the positive side, the location of these apartments is great...very close to many attractions. The apartment is also spacious, which is helpful for a longer stay. We watched a couple World Cup games in the evenings, and the living area with the large-screen TV was perfect for that.
