The Latchis Hotel is a wonderful step back in time. I absolutely loved the historic charm, the vintage record players and records in the rooms, and all the fascinating stories and history throughout the property. The staff were beyond helpful, welcoming, and genuinely kind during our stay. That said, guests should know that this is a historic hotel, and some modern comforts are limited. Air conditioning was minimal, and our room was quite warm despite having fans. The shower water ranged from cool to lukewarm, and between early morning traffic and train whistles around 5 a.m., getting a full night's sleep was challenging. One additional note: there is a bar/restaurant attached to the hotel that many guests may assume is part of the property, but it operates independently. Our experience there was unfortunately quite different from the warm hospitality we received from the hotel staff. Service felt verrrry unwelcoming, and the limited operating hours made it difficult to enjoy as an amenity during our stay. Overall, if you appreciate history, old-world character, unique experiences, and maybe even a few ghost stories, the Latchis is a memorable place to stay. Just come prepared for a more vintage experience rather than modern hotel amenities.

This place is amazing very unique Viking style and themed. surrounded by woods and hiking trails. They also have a special brand of sheep heard on the property. they did an exceptional job building and maintaining this place.
