“Great location, friendly helpful staff”

“A very comfortable country pub, with great food, top chef and well kept beer. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. My room was a tad small and basic but the bathroom was modern and hey this is a 16th century building and I enjoyed my stay.”

“No towels ,just tea towels ,no hot water, no milk or spoon to make tea or coffee ,I stayed for 5 days ,no one came to do anything ,they didn't empty the bins or change sheets or give you a floor mat,”

“Just a short one night stay for our night before our flight out of Stansted. Great little find, just 30 mins from the airport but a lovely peaceful location. The host had left provisions for breakfast which was totally unexpected but made a real difference to our stay. Would recommend for for a short stay away from it all.”

“Really nice and regrettably brief stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast ran by a lovely couple. I was made to feel at home from the start and the hosts went out of their way to help make my stay as comfortable as possible (including an offer of a lift to a local pub!). Breakfast was really high quality and ample. I will definitely look to stay again! Thank you!”
