“This place is a gem! There is a bus that is a block away and takes 20 minutes to Stansted Airport. The room we had was wonderful: beautiful bed linens, Turkish bath robe, lovely decor, and a beautiful, healthy, breakfast in the fridge that included a very fresh and attractive fruit platter. The little touches like the coffee machine, toaster, and excellent bread, butter, jams, fresh milk, pretty china cups and plates, made us feel we were in a real home. Martha Stewart could not have done……

“A very comfortable country pub, with great food, top chef and well kept beer. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
My room was a tad small and basic but the bathroom was modern and hey this is a 16th century building and I enjoyed my stay.”

“The White Horse was a beautiful place, very welcoming. The very clean 'chalets' were out the back of the hotel so you weren't disturbed by the road or the bar. The staff were just superb, always very helpful and courteous, nothing was ever to demanding. The breakfasts were outstanding. I fully recommend the full English! Will certainly stay there again if ever in that neck of the woods.”

“Just a short one night stay for our night before our flight out of Stansted. Great little find, just 30 mins from the airport but a lovely peaceful location. The host had left provisions for breakfast which was totally unexpected but made a real difference to our stay. Would recommend for for a short stay away from it all.”

“Really nice and regrettably brief stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast ran by a lovely couple. I was made to feel at home from the start and the hosts went out of their way to help make my stay as comfortable as possible (including an offer of a lift to a local pub!).
Breakfast was really high quality and ample. I will definitely look to stay again! Thank you!”
