Lazy River needed some tile updates but loved the atmosphere with the Annie’s restaurant and live music. It was its own little boardwalk. The room was decent and concierge was great. I miss precovid housekeeping standards but it’s the new norm to ask for service not expect it when changing linens and towels. Overall it’s the escape we wanted with a wonderful section of beach. I will return just the hubby and I to enjoy a little more of the night life bar boardwalk and live music and fireworks. :)

I had two separate ocean view efficiency rooms for three people. My mom's room was a five star. Great corner balcony with ocean view. Her room was bright and beachy with updated flooring. It had a full refrigerator, flatware etc. My room was less updated with carpet that seemed to hold the humidity more. It was a darker room, but more spacious. Still a great ocean view. The bathroom needed some updating but it was doable. The property itself was nice. Walk right down to the beach. The cafe had good service and the food was quite good. Sandals bar was fun on a Friday night with karaoke. Service was also good there. Plenty of parking here, garage at hotel and garage across the street. Four stars overall. These are privately owned rooms and I think next time I will stay at a regular hotel, as the rooms will be more predictable.

This wasn’t a bad place to stay, but it was a little more “run down” than what we’re used to. You have to pay extra for breakfast (~$14 per person). Not many restaurants nearby.

The place was so noisy. It felt like the neighboring room was part of our room because I could hear everything they were saying and it’s not like they were yelling. The band plays loud until 11. The was a cockroach in the room and I was told someone would inspect the room and no one came. Lastly, the bathroom was just dingy. Chipped tile, rusty tissue holder, no soap. I don’t give bad reviews but I couldn’t wait to leave this place.

The room was very nice just some minor issues like the fan in the bathroom was broken. The tile rack was coming from the wall no information in the room about the area around or what the offer at the hotel in a small table to eat off the hotel was very, very nice.

Do not stay at this property! It was very old and run down. The rooms had rusted out holders for Kleenex and TP, and the rooms are in need of updates. The beach is convenient but I was very uncomfortable in the room due to its dirty feel.

Sands ocean club resort is the perfect place to send an in-law you can’t stand. Seeking revenge on someone and want them to have a yucky experience? Book them a room here!! You will certainly meet your objective. My room was dusty. The carpet was outright disgusting. The towels looked beyond old and raggedy. I was looking for a nice get-away for my family & I and instead got a ghetto stay. I didn’t want my kids touching anything in this room. This hotel is in very poor condition and in need of immediate renovation. I regret not paying attention to the negative reviews and hope that anyone considering going here changes their mind after reading my review. The bad reviews are NOT an exaggeration people. The place is GHETTO and not up to any reasonable standards or expectations. Not worth what you’re paying AT ALL. Look elsewhere or you will regret it! Now you can’t say you weren’t warned!
