5 Minute Walk to Downtown Mystic

This charming 1816 home is just a 5 minute walk to downtown Mystic and the marinas where you can dock your boat. There is a large porch to relax on during the day, overlooking the garden. Perfect for people watching while sipping a mimosa! The yard is fully fenced in, so your furry friend is free to roam. We are near dozens of restaurants and shopping, just a short drive to Watch Hill beaches, and 20 minutes to the casinos. This is the perfect Mystic getaway for a romantic weekend, family time, or a friends trip. Please note before booking and read the reviews:
The house is located on a main road and is noisy when trucks go by, and backing out of the driveway is hard. There’s free parking across the street if you prefer. It’s a very old house (1816), and so the staircase to upstairs is narrow, and the ceilings are on the lower side.

There are 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. The bedrooms and full bath are upstairs and half bath is downstairs.

Spring Break weekend away

Wanted to try something different with the family, 5 of us in total from 2 - 15. The house was great, clean and welcoming. The owner was super helpful and very easy to get in touch with. Very close to shops and attractions, no complaints and will look to go back again in the future.

Kayla's property is exactly as depicted and does an amazing job of combining the charm of the old houses of the area with just the right amount of modern updates. Everything was clean, comfortable and more than we could have asked for. Kayla was easy to reach and wonderful to work with.

Cute New England home

Quaint old house very close to downtown Mystic. Wonderful porch that we spent a lot of time on. If you’re looking for an older home full of charm this is it. Walking distance to shops and dining. Property is located on a very busy street with off street parking. Host very friendly and easy to work with.

Nice house

Stay was great. House was perfect size and patio/porch was amazing. Location was prime and walking distance to downtown. Only complaint would be there was no body wash except a used, almost finished bar of soap, and also there were only 4 dinner plates / bowls to be shared with everyone. Other than that it was great.

Wonderful Return Visit

Our second stay here was as lovely as our first experience. This house has all the charm of a historic home along with convenient and comfortable updates. We particularly enjoyed the minimalistic decor (uncluttered surfaces and plenty of closet and storage space) combined with a cozy couch throw, books, games, china and glassware. The location is perfect for walking into town (bonus of manageable uphill return mini-workout) and flat strolls through beautiful neighborhoods on every side. Kayla is an incredibly responsive and attentive hostess. We will definitely book this property again!

Great centralized location

The house is exactly as described, and was a great place for us and a few friends to spend a long weekend. The location is excellent, though the driveway is quite tricky to get in and out of - a mirror across the street would do wonders! The space was spotless and had everything we needed. The porch was lovely but it is on a main road (which is mentioned in the listing) so can be noisy when you’re outside but definitely not a big issue. Kayla was an excellent host and responded immediately when we needed her, and even gave us some extra time with checkout that was much appreciated. Great place to stay overall!

Great Getaway Vacation!

We had a great stay in Mystic! Kayla was a helpful and attentive host. The house was centrally located so we were able to get to all the local attractions. Kayla’s historic house was roomy and comfortable. This home was well stocked with all the amenities that made for an enjoyable stay. The only challenge was the driveway which opened onto a busy street. We solved that problem by parking on a side road across the street. The outside porch was great. Busy traffic is sometimes noisy but we were out so often that it didn’t bother us.

Exactly as described

This accurate listing, pictures, and reviews reflect everything good about VRBO. Host Kayla was wonderfully responsive and communicative. Historic home in beautiful Mystic was depicted and described perfectly. Owner made smart choices in kitchen and bath upgrades. Morning sun on spacious, comfortable porch was so enjoyable in February; must be idyllic during warmer months. The bedding and linens were heavenly. The reviews citing the road noise are accurate, so if that may bother you then buyer beware. We loved our time here and look forward to returning and maybe cooking in next time to luxuriate using the gorgeous Noritake china.

This old house, not well maintained and unsafe.

The property manager was great and the house was clean but that is end of the properties attributes. The shower ran out of hot water after 7 minutes, the mattresses were old and lumpy, the couch uncomfortable, the bedroom doors did not close and had a hook and eye to close them. Throughout the house the floor boards were lose and and uneven causing us to trip, there was no railing on the porch stairs or to the creepy cellar stairs and the house sits on a corner so getting out of the driveway was treacherous with cars going 30 miles an hour. I wouldn’t want to be there in the busy summer. The fenced in back-yard has a 2.5 foot fence and is very tiny so not safe for a dog. It is a five minute walk to downtown Mystic which we did enjoy and the neighborhood is very nice. If the property made some improvements it might be an ok place to stay.
