Peace & Tranquility

Everything was wonderful. We enjoyed our time, relaxing and watching the grass along the dunes sway in the wind. Very peaceful 😌 great location to explore the Outer Banks in either direction.

Excellent Stay!

Writer’s Retreat was very clean and in the perfect location for us! We loved staying on the beach and the condo was the perfect size for us! The back patio was the perfect size as well! It is a quiet place to enjoy the outdoors! There is plenty to do, see and lots of places to eat close by, which we loved! We have nothing bad to say about the stay! We definitely recommend staying here!

The unit location was perfect. Centrally located to the rest of the Outer Banks. Right on the beach and exactly as promised. Clean and well appointed with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. We would certainly visit again!

Magical Views

Kinda cold and breezy the second week but that gave us another side of the magnificent ocean. When sun was out was very enjoyable even if in the 40s and 50s.

Relaxing and beautiful stay.

Beautiful condo. Very clean and well stocked. Loved how open, bright and beachy looking. Nice to have access to the deck from both living room and bedroom. And so nice it is right on the beach. You can sit on the deck , see the ocean and hear it! Absolutely gorgeous setting. Would come here again.

This is a nice property and great communication with owner.I wish there was an ocean view. Although you could see it in the pictures there was no view from the condo other than the beautiful dunes and sea oats.

Thanksgiving trip

This is the second time we have spent Thanksgiving in this condo. Well furnished and well equipped with anything you need. Good location too! Only complaint was the coffee pot…we were not used to this model and could not find any instructions. We finally figured it out. The door lock was rather difficult to see at night, but we managed. Thanks for this lovely rental!

A perfect fall family vacation home at Nags Head

Loved everything about this condo. Perfect location. Steps away from the beautiful beach. The views from the condo was great, even though it's first floor you can still see the ocean view. The condo was super clean, love the open layout, and the decor is super cute. The master bedroom is awesome. The bed is comfortable and I enjoyed waking up to ocean sound and view. The beach is beautiful and clean. We had such a great time. It was not crowded at all and the weather was not too bad. Would definitely stay here again. The property manager was easy to contact and very attentive.

Hidden Gem

My family had a fantastic stay over Memorial Day weekend. The condo was very clean. It is in a perfect location, easy beach access and we didn’t even mind only having a dune view. The property owners were very helpful with recommendations and quick to answer questions. Highly recommend!

Terrible Host

We booked a 10 night stay at this property. The secondary bedroom was flooded upon arrival. After 3 days of trying to convince the host to address the situation, we were asked to vacate the property for a refund. The host gave us an hour to leave with the promise of a refund for the remaining 7 days. What a joke, the refund was not even half of our initial payment.

Weekend get away

Our family stayed at the writers retreat over Easter Weekend. The place is beautiful and so convenient to the beach, restaurants and the shoreline. Can't recommend it enough. The comms with the landlords was excellent and they went out of their way to make the stay wonderful. Would gladly stay again if in the Nags Head area.

Perfect Relaxing Getaway

It is hard to find properties right on the beach, and this property was right there and did not disappoint! Host communicated promptly always, super easy check in and out process. The stay came with lots of extras you don't normally have at a rental. Overall, fantastic and relaxing experience! We will book again when we go back!

a week at the Writer's Retreat

Perfect spot ... beach walks, sunrises and star gazing a few steps away. The sounds of the sea soothing one to sleep! This was an awesome condo for a get away. Also recommend a meal at Noosa Beach Cafe and a sit on the upper deck enjoying a craft brew at Swels'a Brewery. wonderful time!

On the beach

This little gem is right on the beach although the dunes obstruct the first floor view of the ocean. You still get the sounds of the ocean. Owners stated they do not provide beach chairs or umbrellas. Thankfully some kind soul had left a beach chair and umbrella. If owners are unwilling to provide chairs maybe provide a list of recommended rental sources. The unit was nicely furnished and clean. Although I was taken aback by an envelope left by the cleaners for a tip. As large cleaning fees are included; I've never experienced this before in an of my VRBO stays. I was told this is now quite common and was optional.
