Being connected to the village market is a significant bonus as it means there are lots to do and see right on your doorstep. The rooms are very modern looking and clean. You get good views on the higher floors and there’s an amazing rooftop bar. However, there are a number of very minor tweaks which this hotel needs in order to take it from 4 star/ pleasing experience to 5 star/ excellent experience. I had an issue checking in as the the suite I’d booked was unavailable, despite me booking it over three months in advance. It subsequently took over an hour to check in and I didn’t have the suite for the first night but hotel staff were very understanding and did all they could to enhance my stay. The rooms are also seemingly susceptible to flooding if you have too long a shower. Improved draining required. Although very secure, the lift system is a pain in the neck! If you have colleagues or friends on different floors, you’re unable to access then without meeting in ground floor first. You also cannot access stairs unless in emergency so even if you’re on 3rd floor trying to get to 2nd floor, you can end waiting quite a while for a lift just to go down one level. Getting out of hotel in a car can also be a long process due to ticketing system currently in place. Improving these efficiencies will ensure a 5 star experience as this hotel is genuinely pretty good!
