I booked it so my sister—visiting from abroad—could experience New York’s fall, and the location was perfect for apple picking, Minnewaska trails, and Mohonk Mountain House.The home felt like a peaceful retreat in the middle of the forest, yet had all the modern comforts. “A person can always leave complements when things go perfect it’s when things don’t that you find out what kind of Host you have. I stayed over the New Years Holiday and through no fault of Joseph’s there was a power outage in the area. When it came back on it blew a fuse outside the apartment. Being New Year’s there were no stores in the area that carried the fuse that his Electrician needed. The first night he put me up in a motel and when they couldn’t get it repaired on day two he moved me……

We did not feel cramped or unsafe and the complementary tea was a hit! One thing to note is that both of the beds were low to the ground (below knee level) so if someone has knee or back problems, it might be difficult to stand up out of bed. ”
