Wonderful boutique hotel with 2 major design flawsPosted Nov 17, 2015
It is an excellent boutique hotel in a great location with wonderful staff, exquisite restaurant and well appointed rooms with rooms that suffer from relentless garbage truck noise from 3-6am. Unfortunately the windows facing 5th Avenue are single pane which doesn't keep out the constant rumbling. This is a major design flaw unless street noise doesn't bother your sleep!! Also the night before we left there was no hot water in the room due to "Con Edison's road work" forcing us to check out of the hotel for our overseas trip home with no showers. The fact that the hotel doesn't have a back up hot water heating system is another MAJOR design flaw. If this was a 2/3 star hotel I could understand but NOT when you are paying in the high 3 digit figure per night!! The management on staff never apologized for the inconvenience.

Staff aren't allowed to go the extra mile.Posted Nov 17, 2015
Cons: Rigid, aggressive pricing policies
Location: central to everything, near empire state building, shopping and bryant park
I booked on Expedia and needed to extend a day. They told me the only rate they could give me was more than 5x our original rate even though we stayed 3 nights already. This forced us to leave the hotel and book one down the street for the final night. A huge inconvenience. It seems the staff have no power to influence pricing policies and the management didn't care one bit about effectively kicking us out of the hotel. The hotel was NOT full, it was their "pricing policy" we were told. This ruined an otherwise wonderful stay.

Close to everything in NYCPosted Nov 10, 2015
Pros: They provided many of the little things that you didn't know you'd need, until you did. Nespresso coffee in the room, my FAVOURITE!
Cons: I honestly can't think of anything that could be improved.
Location: Being on 5th Avenue, just north of the Empire State Building, in the thick of great shopping, this is a great spot!
My Friend and I spent 4 days in NYC this past weekend, it was a whirlwind trip and the Langham Place on 5th Ave was our oasis! I have stayed at many 5 star hotels and this was far and above the nicest place. ALL of the staff deserve a top rating...everyone smiled and truly seemed to want to help you and wish you a great day!

Friendly staff and clean roomsPosted Nov 9, 2015
We had an awesome stay. It was our first time in New York and Langham did not fail us. They were very accomodating and every single staff has a smile on their face.. The lobby was small but pretty, they treat every guest special.. 😊 We will be back for sure!

Fantastic locationPosted Nov 1, 2015
Hotel is really well located. Close to all the main attractions; Times Square , Empire State, Rockerfeller and all the main shops are walkable. It is a lovely hotel with impeachable service especially from the lobby staff. Housekeeping is excellent. Our room ( superior place) had no view but that didn't really bother us. You can upgrade to an Empire State view if it does.

Excellent hotel with matching pricePosted Oct 26, 2015
Pros: Excellent staff for everything, very goof room condition
Cons: If I the same rate next time, I would stay other place with better view for same price.
I enjoyed the wonderful staff service at check-in, check-out. Also the location is very good. Have good high end restaurant on 2nd floor as well. Only bad this I had NO view, actually wall view at lower floor. As EXPEDIA Gold+ member, I was expecting better room, but maybe I am not lucky enough on that day.
