I traveled with a family of 4 for a 6 day trip to NY. Overall our stay was smooth. The hotel is nicely kept. The rooms are a decent size for NY standards. Definitely bigger than most comparable hotels. The beds are comfortable water gets hot quickly in the shower. The location is great, very central to manhattan area. Just a few blocks from Central Park. The room service staff was very helpful. They were available every morning to offer room service. As for the elevator situation. We were fortunate enough to only wait a few minutes for our elevator. There is only 2 main elevators working in the hotel. There is maintenance elevators as well but we did not attempt to use those. On our stay one of the elevators that was down began working. So hopefully their elevator renovation project is nearing completion. If we return to NY and plan to stay in the same area I would not mind booking at this hotel again.

Not the first time I’ve stayed here and would definitely stay again. Ideal location on 7th, close to Central Park and Times Square, with transport options all around. Staff are friendly and helpful, and very clean. Only downsides are that two of the lifts are still out of use (over a year now as they were out of use the last time I stayed here), which causes queues especially around peak times. The service elevators have been opened to use but these were temperamental when one stopped working for a couple of days. The air con in the room is loud at night, but turning it off (especially in the heat this week) was a no go, so had to grin and bear it. All in all, despite the downsides, it is a lovely place to stay and base yourself for a visit to the city.

The property is nice, I like the historical significance of it. However, the quality of restoring the rooms was not held to a high standard. The dresser drawers were not fitted properly, they were difficult to pull out and push in, the closet door consistently fell off the tracks when used, the toilet paper holder was broken, even the small details of door knobs being straight was not done correctly. The staff was nice. Every person I interacted with was kind and helpful. There also was not an option for breakfast. It was stated that there was an option to buy breakfast, but I only saw an option to buy coffee. The most disappointing of all was the hidden fee, called a destination fee. When I paid through expedia, I thought i paid my entire hotel bill. I was charged $38/day for a destination fee, which was also taxed and given another smaller fee. This was completely unexpected, and I still don't know why it was charged. I would stay here again IF this fee disappeared.

All of the elevators are not working, and we were on the 18th floor. Super long waits for elevators, ended up taking the stairs. But you can tell this issue has been long term, as they have posted jokes on the stairwell walls. Would be a great hotel if this problem is ever rectified!

I enjoyed my stay at Park Central and I would definitely book it again for my next New York trip. The only downside to my stay was that there was only one elevator in use/ operational. At times we found ourselves in line waiting to either go up or down. At one point I actually took the stairs all the way to the 10th floor.

Horrible Experience. Only 1 elevator and we weren’t told Before hand to change hotels. Waiting 30-45 minutes for an elevator is uncall for. We could used stairs but imagen 4 flights of stairs and when you have luggage totally the worst. Rooms stinker like pee. Only 5-6 channels and mostly were news and sports.

The hotel was very pretty, especially the lobby! It felt very New Yorky! The staff were amazing! When I was leaving they helped me with specific directions to meet up with my sister! The hotel room. Another story . There were a pair of jeans left in our room. Also, the water sporadically would pour out brown water from the tap. But the bed was sooo comfy! The elevator situation was brutal!! Like terrible at peak hours. We ended up using the service elevator more often than not . Felt really bad for the staff having to share with us! Please fix that soon! Loved my morning walks through Central Park! Walked to Wicked, 5th Ave! So great!
