Amazing hotel! This was first time staying at the Renaissance Midtown and I will definitely be back! From the time of arrival, I was warmly greeted by the staff who were helpful and ensured that I had a great experience at the hotel. The room was spacious, clean and I had a lovely city view. I especially enjoyed the convenience of being close to Penn Station, restaurants and different train lines so very easy to get around the city. This is a lovely hotel and I enjoyed my long weekend there. Will definitely stay again!

As far as NYC hotel rooms go, this was perfect for the two of us. Room was quiet, comfy and relaxing. Check in and out was easy peasy. The “resort fee” was dumb but refunded when we checked out, so less dumb in the end.

The Hotel is in the middle of everything and most of the lines that go through there take you everywhere. It saves time and it is comfortable.

The hotel was very conveniently located closed to the 34th street train station and made getting around the city very easy. Hotel staff were all also very kind which was appreciated. The room however had a few conditions that were unsatisfactory. One big one being that the shower didnt not warm up at all a couple nights and had to take cold showers which wasnt pleasant. Other nights it warmed up very slowly. Otherwise a decent room and view of the city

Rooms didn't have much room to maneuver for a disabled person. The marble floor in the bathroom also wasn't a good choice for slip prevention. There is quite a bit of street noise, which can't be helped due to the physical location of the hotel. The staff was absolutely phenomenal.

My wife and I stayed at the Renaissance for four nights recently. The property itself is terrific. Rooms are large, especially by NYC standards, comfortable, and well appointed. Staff was terrific all the way around. Front desk staff were very accommodating switching us to a room with a sofa, bell hops were friendly and greeted us every time we walked in, and housekeeping was perfect. If there is a drawback to this hotel, it’s one that is out of their control, and that is the area has a number of unsavory characters around that made me and my wife feel a bit uneasy. Again, I don’t hold this against the hotel, and something that most hotels in Manhattan deal with, but important to note nonetheless. I would absolutely recommend a stay at this hotel.
