COCKROACHES / WATER BUGS - NO RESOLUTION FROM MANAGEMENT
I booked this hotel for my senior citizen father and was dismayed to find cockroaches/water bugs in his room. This was immediately reported to the front desk at which time we were told that it wasn’t necessary to change rooms, and that they would address the issue (we assumed that meant spraying). The issue was not addressed, and when brought again to the attention of the front desk, no options were presented then or during the rest of his stay to change rooms/offer a discount /spray /etc. My father was unable to sleep knowing there were large bugs crawling around. I brought this to the attention of the front desk again on the day of check-out asking to speak with hotel mgmt. who I was told wasn’t available on the weekend. I was told that the original complaints had not been catalogued, and that they would make a note of the issue now and have the hotel mgr. call me the following day. He did not call me, so I called him and he attempted to tell me that my father said he was fine to stay in the room with the bugs and had no issue with them (I almost have to laugh at this, because.. really??). He told me he would call the following day after he spoke with his mgr. about possible resolution and also mentioned that any prior concerns we had made weren’t catalogued. I suppose it shouldn’t be a surprise that he never called back. Sigh. Extremely disappointing; I feel duped, and my father should not have had this experience.
