“Latica lodge was amazing to stay at! If you’re looking for that community vibe then this should be on the top of your list. Everyone from all over the world staying there, all having breakfast/supper together was spectular. The owners are everyday people willing to help you out with everything they made the stay so enjoyable. “A real gem of a place just a few minutes walk to the beach. Quiet, clean, and helpful staff.
Pros: best Gluten-free menu and food of our 7 day trip. Chefs kiss!! The tuna and blackened fish were out of this world. Pool was warm and open all hours. Grounds were well kept. Tennis courts available. Cons: no TV in room, but really what are you doing inside anyway. ”

“This was easily one of the best stays we’ve ever had. Café Playa Negra is everything a boutique hotel should be—warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully run. We were greeted like family and offered lime slush drinks that were pure bliss. Our room was spotless and beautiful, the meals were delicious, and the pool was a perfect escape.
Nixon was amazing—so kind and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly.

“We weren't prepared for how remote this property is and the extended rainy season made it even more so with very poor road conditions. Be sure to stock up on EVERYTHING you'll need before going up there as a trip to any store or restaurant will be lengthy. We had to leave after staying only one of our two nights as we just didn't have enough food. There is a restaurant on the property which would have been a complete game changer but it wasn't open during our visit in mid-November. The times……
