"My husband and I had an amazing stay! We were celebrating our anniversary and truly appreciated the level of thought and care the staff displayed to help us celebrate. Not only did the staff place roses on the bed and shaped towels into swans, when we left on our first excursion and came back, we were surprised with a lovely cake in our room. Additionally, the surrounding mountain area of this hotel is beautiful and makes swimming in the infinity-like pool and eating the complementary breakfast all the more enjoyable. The staff were amiable, hospitable, and helpful, and I particularly appreciated their prompt replies on Expedia when I had any questions prior to arriving. We highly recommend staying at Jiva Hoa Lu Retreat!"

"Location in the midst of rice fields, views of mountains in distance, proximity to Mua cave, beautiful garden and pool on the premises. Restaurant provides great, tasty food. Add to these spacious, clean rooms and wonderful service and you have this Ecolodge! Surely recommend it."

"A lovely hotel amongst rural living without the rural experience, no goats or something that sets it apart. Room is decent sized but wasn't cleaned before arriving. Lovely staff Tran I believe is the star, as his manners make it work and English is quite good. Limited dining during shoulder season, or transport options meant Trang stepped up to compensate. Unfortunately the distance to Tam COC and Huang mua made this a difficult to navigate without paying for a tour or grab taxi. So for a short stay whilst being picked up from the hotel you'll be fine. If you prefer everything in walking distance close to the main attractions of Ninh binh you'll choose something else. Good value close to grocery store and fresh food market 500m down the street. However hotel room does not support cooking inside the rooms."
