North Wales is part of Philadelphia. It makes up part of a dynamic city that is home to 1,500,000 inhabitants. The central business of Philadelphia is only 19 miles (31 kilometers) away and Philadelphia International Airport is 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the southwest of North Wales.

Many of Philadelphia’s most popular attractions are close to North Wales, making it a great place to base yourself while you are in town. The Elmwood Park Zoo and Graeme Park are amongst the many interesting place to visit here. Also, well worth the effort are the Harold F. Pitcairn Wings of Freedom Museum and Speed Raceway.

Philadelphia is world famous as the home of Independence Hall. This popular attraction is less than 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) from the center of town.

There are many beautiful natural destinations here so don’t miss the nearby green spaces. To spend some time in a green urban park head to Morris Arboretum.
