“Since it’s the only hotel in Glenwood Iowa, it’s pretty nice. They take very good care of it. It’s very clean. The rooms are pretty spacious and it was near a lot of restaurants. I would stay here again if I’m in town for a wedding.”

“There was only a kiosk for check-in. We were told to sit down until they were ready. We had pre-paid, all we needed was a key card. It took 15+ minutes & it was difficult to understand. ”

“The location is excellent. But the amenities were literally not there. You have a roof over your head and that is all. The hotel does not even have a name that we have to rely on the GPS that we arrived. It took us more than a dozen buzz to call the front end to check in as it was not manned at all. Not a place to stay for a vacation. The whole place needs proper maintenance and proper management.”

“The check in staff was good. Our room smelled odd after entering. The toilet wouldn’t flush. When my husband went to front desk he was handed a plunger and gloves! That didn’t work so after going back to the front desk we were given another room and told that someone flushed a rubber duck. In the new room that was right next to the dinging elevator when I went to use plastic cup for water it had used toothbrush head in it! We will never stay at Holiday Inn Express again!”

“The entire first floor reeked of cigarette smoke and the common area off the elevators had the same smell. We had a tough time getting the AC to work (tip- switch it off auto-mode) and when we called the front desk they were not very helpful. Checked in on the app and front desk said nothing had been done. No access to streaming apps on the TV and the shower was not great. We only stayed for a single night so it was fine, but for an extended stay I would have been super disappointed.”

“Check in was easy. Our room looked nice at first. The alarm clock had outlets on it but it wasn't working. I needed an outlet for my cpap. I moved the night stand and put the plug in the other outlet .it worked but there was a full bottle of water and garbage in the floor. The carpet was filthy. The tile floor had a prescription pill on it. There was a pen on the carpet. The refrigerator worked but the small freezer portion was a block of ice. I needed to go to the front desk for a box of……

“Rooms were very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and staff in that area were very friendly. Parking was very safe and plenty of space.”

“We stayed during the 2026 NCAA College World Series opening weekend. Despite being fully booked, the facility was clean, the free breakfast was sufficient, and the staff very helpful. We'd stay there again.”
