The staff was very detailed and organized with my arrival being that I flew in from KY at midnight. The interior and exterior design is EXQUISITE! My communication with the staff was always very pleasant and professional via text. I will be booking another stay the next time I’m in NC.

They stuck me in a room with only a hand-held spray for a shower, which was very inconvenient. The room had a hot pot but they never replenished the tea bags. There was no continental breakfast, unusual for a hotel this expensive. The front desk was unable to give me receipts for either the room or the uber ride to the airport. Staff in the bar/dining room were great.

Visit on weekend when everything is open. A little pricey but worth it.

School kids run rampant through the area, so many of the docents are catering to them, and trying to calm them down, so much is missed. Other folks suggested going on weekend to avoid the school kids. We found when they left after 1 PM, we could enjoy the sights, but that leaves only 3 hours to see the place.

Went for college reunion. The campus of Salem College is gorgeous and the `old Salem community authentic and well preserved.
