“The Best Western Plus Larco Hotel is overrated. It's outside the city center (30 to 40 minutes on foot), the rooms are tiny and certainly not what you would expect of a hotel that is rated 4 stars, the breakfast is ordinary and repetitive. They also have a nickel and dime attitude that is deplorable. As an example, they give you one litre of water the first day that you arrive, but want you to pay for it starting on the second day. Considering the cost of the tiny hotel room, that's nothing……

“The room setting, service and light breakfast were very good. It was only the toilet odour in our room that we dislike most. We followed the hotel instruction of throwing toilet paper into the dustbin instead of toilet. The unpleasant odour might come from the toilet paper in dustbin or the sewage pipes. Other than this problem, we are very satisfied with the room.”

“The hotel had construction of a new hotel next door. No mention of this was on the listing on the website at time of booking. The construction has been going the whole of 2025\. On arrival at the hotel I was placed in a room facing the construction. Returning to reception to complain I was given another room. That room was slightly quieter from the main construction noise. However the bath was damaged with pealing paint that had been badly over painted. The construction noise could be heard……

“The hotel hallways and rooms, were spotless. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and although we were a bit concerned about after hours check-in using a lock box to get room key, details provided were excellent and access was seamless. It has a great location, and despite just off main avenue, it was very quiet. This is a 3-star property meaning there are no extra amenities like restaurant, gym or pool so wouldn't recommend for families with kids. It's good value for someone looking……
