“When I arrived, I put my bags in the room and left for a walk. The villa is up a steep hill from the main town. I had a pleasant walk to some nearby viewpoints. On my return the room smelt of damp and mould, on closer inspection there was mould in multiple places and when I switched on the aircon it was worse. I contacted them to ask for an alternative room as it was heading toward 6pm. They offered me one but there was also a slight damp smell in that room so I decided to book another hotel……

“The stay was quite okay: nice view on the fields in a remote location but room was rather primitive and you’re showering and toilet are outside. Also it was quite noisy so we could hear the neighbors and surroundings in the night. The checkin went smooth with someone who could talk properly English but our check-out was terrible…as i triple confirmed a taxi to be canceled and in the end it wasnt..while checking out the manager of the hotel called me on how to deal with this. Please double check……

“This locally owned Villa and Cottage accommodations are great value. I stsyed in an ocean front room, great views and clean. This is a no-frills place to stay, no TVs but it has Wifi. There is an on-site warung/restaurant and the food is delicious and well priced. There are loads of warungs within walking distance and lots of drivers to take you into Candi if the 2km walk is not your thing. The best part of the stay was the wonderful staff. ”
