“Casa Kal Mar exceeded expectations. The decor felt so natural and perfect for the setting and the whole place was well kept and spotless. The views were stunning, the breakfasts delicious, and the staff was kind and interactive. Sylvia assisted with bookings for whale watching, massages and transport and had great restaurant recommendations as well. Highly recommend.”

“Good basic local hotel in a magical location - please know this is a good Mexican hotel, not Canadian or American, so adjust your expectations. Incredible view but you’ll have to work for it, up a series of switchbacks on a very steep and winding cobblestone road. Down is harder to navigate but the heat gets you on the way up if you try to head back for a siesta or a bit of pool time. No food or drink available, which means you’ll have to plan well, as this hill is between you and all food and……

“La habitación es pequeña pero agradable, si tiene vista a la playa que queda a un minuto. El personal es amable, llegamos antes y nos permitieron dejar nuestras cosas y cambiarnos para ir a la playa. Te permiten usar la cocina y a pesar que la habitación no tenía tv, no se requiere. En el área común hay juegos, tv, mesa de billar y una piscina muy pequeña que tampoco se necesita porqué se puede estar en la playa todo el día. “I stayed here after being told by my friend Tomer how wonderful this place is. The proximity to the ocean, the no frills clean and comfy accommodations and the wonderful care with which the owner and the staff run the place made me want to stay forever. I took my siesta on the hammock in front of my room daily. I fell asleep to the roaring sound of the waves outside. I went on a morning dip after watching the sunrise, all steps from my room. I can’t wait to come back. ”

“We wanted a small hotel for a 2 week stay that was close to the beach and had a pool. This hotel had both and was very affordable. It was in a great location with a very short walk to the beach or to the Main Street. All of the restaurants were nearby. The staff were very kind and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the property was well maintained. We would definitely consider staying here again.”
