Empire Hotel

Empire Hotel

8/10 Good
"The rooms were rather dark, though they had lamps. It was really hard to get ready in the mornings because there was no natural light coming into the room so we had to sit under the lamps in order to do our make up or stand right in front of the window in order to see ourselves. No way to ventilate the room, so the room stayed pretty musty because the shower is not far away. It just felt like we couldn't breathe in there even though the AC was running nonstop. But beautiful hotel great staff. Clean and safe area."

Pod 51

Pod 51

10/10 Excellent
"This hotel is exactly what I hoped for — it is a modern pod style hotel so the price is reasonable because the rooms are small. I had a full pod so it included a shower, toilet and sink. I do not need a huge room, but I value a clean, modern, well-maintained and well priced hotel and that is what they delivered. I was impressed that, in designing their pods, they were thoughtful about various aspects of how space was used. Much appreciated. I would be delighted to stay there again. (Also, great location, easy access to several subway lines, the UN, etc). Also friendly staff!"
