“The hotel was good but the room we has was 2 flights up with 2 very heavy fire doors. It was very hot with only a small window to a flat roof that didn't open more than 3 inches. No phone in room to communicate with reception. Nothing in the immediate area outside the hotel other than a 10 minute? very steep hill to port isaac. There was nowhere to sit and relax out of the heat other than the bar.”

“It's a breath of fresh air to travel to accomodation and arrive early and to be offered afternoon tea whilst waiting for our room to be available. Jenny the host was an absolute breath of fresh air and nothing was too much for her to accommodate us. Easy parking, stunning grounds with a lovely stream running through it. Breakfast was absolutely spot on. I visit hotels all over the U.K with work and this place is a breath of fresh air. Overall a must visit place within 10 minutes walk to a……

“The staff were all incredibly cheery and helpful. The food was excellent (coleslaw to die for!). The local beer, Hicks, was a good temperature. Fantastically cheap breakfast of anything! Dogs welcome in any room. England World Cup game was televised but the supporters were put in a large TV room away from the residents.”

“We enjoyed a wonderful stay in the 'Nauti' Shepherd's hut. It was so cosy, warm, clean and immaculately presented. The bed was super comfortable and everything we could have needed was provided. A great location, with a peaceful and relaxing countryside setting. Great communication from the hosts. We will definitely be back in the future. Highly recommended for a cornish get away. ”

“Had a lovely stay at Pengelly Farmhouse. A beautiful properly, spotlessly clean and lovely thoughtful touches. Homemade biscuits were lovely and even some treats for our dog. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and perfectly cooked! We will most definitely be back again, thank you!”

“Beautiful old world building with lovely rooms, bar the bathroom being upstairs. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good especially the breakfast. Very disappointed that they had a special curry and pint offer where you couldn't have and alternative drink and when we ordered the curry anyway we were charged £20 without the beer wheras it was £15 with the beer!”
