"The staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. The food was good 👍 The rooms are a little tired but I know the owners have plans for improvements and when complete this will be a gem of a hotel. Location is perfect especially if walking Cumbria way."

"The room was spacious and clean, bath robes and slippers, complementary drinks, tea and coffee machine in the room. The bed was very comfortable and big and the shower pressure was amazing. They have a small spa, sometimes there's no one in there and you can have it all to yourself. It was a charming place and probably one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Special thanks to the staff, who are caring and always happy to help. Cannot wait to visit again."

"YHA Grasmere is a massive, well-maintained property with a really great team of staff. The kitchen and dining areas are huge and spotless, and having plenty of showers on every floor means you never have to wait around. The rooms, showers, and toilets were all kept very clean. Just a couple of minor maintenance issues: the light fixture above the mirror in my room didn't work, and one of the toilets took a few tries to get it to flush properly. Aside from those small quirks, everything else was really good and it's a solid place to stay in the Lakes."

"Mountain View from room, room was tidy and ideal. However location is on a very narrow country road. The breakfast wasn’t warm the following morning, took too many orders at once and only one staff member so delays were experienced."
