“The owners were very responsive. The property was well kept and comfortable. Even with the owners living on site, there was no one bothering us. We didn’t do any outdoor activities on the property with all of the cabins being rather close together with no separation, but it was too hot to be outside anyway.”

“If you are looking for a unconventional place to unplug and unwind, the Cheese Wedge Cabin is a charming getway. Etienne is a lovely host who made us feel welcome and comfortable on her farm. We got up close and personal with the sheep, chickens, and Phoenix the sheepdog (who is the gentlest giant and steadfast companion). We had plenty of privacy in the cabin while still being close enough to get anything we needed from the private guest kitchen & bath connected to the main house. Another……

“We loved our stay here. I would highly recommend this home to everyone. Our host Beth was so nice and extremely helpful with tips about the area. We had a group of 8, (2 sixteen year olds, a nineteen year old and three 21 year olds and my husband and I.) There was plenty of room for us all to gather as a family or spread out for some personal time! We planned our stay in Galena to be a staycation and mostly just hang out with the family. This home was perfect for that. We had lots of fun……

“The house was the perfect size for the two of us and our dogs. It felt very private and was well kept.One note is the house is on an unpaved street, which made it difficult to go out walking on our trip as it rained a lot and even when it wasn’t the road was very muddy. Can’t control the weather though!”
