Food is excellent (breakfast is a standout), making the on-site dining worth staying in for. Convenient location too: about 15 minutes from the center of Monemvasia, so you’re close to the action but in a quieter spot. Overall, great value for a relaxed, quality stay.”

“This was a real highlight of our vacation. Someone came to greet us at the entrance to the walled city and helped us carry our bags. We were all so impressed when we arrived at our little courtyard in what the kids thought was like a hobbit home. Inside was even better. Everything was clean and tidy and we were left with a bottle of local wine which was really tasty. There was a nespresso coffee machine and pods as well so we were very happy! “The experience of staying within walls is something else. Monemvasia has managed to capture and maintain the feel of an ancient fortification while giving one the comforts of modern civilization (indoor plumbing!) The Likinia Hotel is well located, about a 5 minute walk away from the main street and sufficiently separated. At times you even have the feeling that you have the whole fortress to yourself. Since the family room was the last available option, we had an entire apartment with 2……

“Appartement tout neuf très confortable et bien situé par rapport à la ville de Gefira et à la ville basse de Monemvassia. Accueil sympathique par Stéphanie. Quelques soucis avec la literie neuve semble-t-il mais très inconfortable à notre goût. Qulques équipements de cuisine classiques non disponibles : bouilloire, planche à pain, palette ... Rien de dramatique toutefois. Une bonne adresse .. ”
