“The lady who owns and runs Chabela Host, is quite literally the nicest woman in the world. My room and bathroom were super clean, she gives plenty of blankets, there is hot water with decent water pressure, and she provides a breakfast at your request. I’m only sorry, I couldn’t stay longer. The place is a little hard to find from the street. Upon entrance, you need to walk all the way down to where the street ends and the only option is a left hand turn. Don’t turn! Just knock on the door in……

“This place honestly looks like it should be condemned. It was disgusting. The walls are peeling, there were 4 different types of flooring in each room, and the bedding and towels were stiff. I checked for bed bugs because the place looked so bad. I’m happy to report there were none. With each step we took, we were afraid our feet would break through the floor, it was incredibly squeaky and uneven. The outlets were inconveniently located. “seriously avoid at all costs! please!! i never write reviews but unfortunately this hostel was so disappointing that i felt the need to warn others. first… no toilet paper, towels, or soap in the room when we arrived. no one was there to greet us either, so we had to wait for the staff to text us in order to find our room. and the room itself smelled like… sewer… it was so horrible. we texted someone about the lack of toilet paper and towels and soap, and she told me she would bring them……

"I had a wonderful stay at Atoq San Blas Hotel during my time in Cusco. The hospitality was exceptional throughout the journey — the staff were warm, attentive, and always willing to help with arrangements, recommendations, and support after long hiking days. One thing that really stood out was the laundry service. It was fast, efficient, and the quality was excellent, which made a huge difference after returning from trekking. The hotel environment was also incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Located in the charming San Blas area, it provided the perfect atmosphere to recharge and rest after intensive hikes around Cusco and Machu Picchu.
