It was a minimalist room that was clean. Plenty of room for two people and two dogs. The bathroom shower was not in the best shape. The floor was sticky, maybe from shower grippers that were there previously? The staff were nice and someone was always at the desk. When we walked in initially though, the entire hallway smelled like a beef broccoli dish, but luckily the room did not when we went in. The area around the hotel is very sketchy, with a boarded up restaurant and homeless encampment across the street. Luckily there were a lot of cars in the hotel parking lot, or else we would have felt even more uncomfortable parking there. We didn't see any encampment members come into the hotel, which was good. Overall, if you don't mind that type of area, are just looking for a cheaper stay in Portland, and are willing to rideshare or drive into the city, it can be a good option.
