We had a great time at the Alexandra. We spent 6 nights there, and the room was cleaned to perfection every day. The full kitchen and washer/dryers in the room are a great touch! We booked a garden view and we were upgraded to a room overlooking the pool & partial ocean view! Alessia made the check in process quick and easy after we had a little misunderstanding with the hotel when we arrived a day earlier than our reservation. Rhazzor walks the grounds every morning and asks guests how their stay is going, so sweet.
Only con’s are pool cleanliness, although they vacuum the pool in the mornings, by the afternoon it’s filled with all kinds of bugs. We visited the sister property, Blue Haven and their pool was immaculately cleaned (just smaller).
Other con was the food & watered down liquor. The food is mediocre and you can tell that it’s just kind of put together rushingly. No authentic Caribbean taste, I also enjoyed the food better at Blue Haven, where they cook on a charcoal stove vs a Gas stove at the Alexandra.
Frozen drinks were tasty but definitely watered down. I had 5 piña colada’s and didn’t even feel a buzz. We started taking shots and when I took my shot of Henessey it was clearly watered down as the color was way lighter than it should be. I would suggest bringing your own liquor to add to the drinks. We would stay here again, just skip the all inclusive. There are plenty of amazing restaurants like Mr. Grouper & Skull Cantina in the area.
