"This property was definitely off the beaten path. It was not well lit at night which made it almost scary to walk to dinner. They did not have many dining options and the menu is limited and redundant. "

"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects.
That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

"Our host Jason went out of his way to ensure we had a good stay at his place. We had support in getting to use a local pool, with groceries and transportation to our next location to mention a few. If you need local insights and super hospitality then go with Jason. The location is in a quiet local neighbourhood and it feels safe to have kids running around outside. Walking to the beach is possible, but can be a bit hard for little ones up to 4 years old (especially considering the heat). Go to...

"I had such a lovely stay at this cute little studio in Puerto Carrillo. The space was cozy, clean, and had everything I needed for a relaxing getaway. The real highlight was the shared pool—perfect for cooling off after a day at the beach or just lounging with a book. The neighborhood felt safe and peaceful, and it was just a short drive to Playa Carrillo, which is absolutely stunning. If you're looking for a quiet, charming spot to unwind, this is it!"

"The villa is perfect, spacious and set up nice, especially the 2 bathrooms. It's a short walk to the downtown food and shops. Also it's right next to the beach. We'll definitely want to stay here again."

"I’ve stayed here before and I will be back in the future. The condos are beautiful and very large and the neighborhood is so peaceful. I love to walk around the area and see monkeys in the trees. My mini economy rental car had no trouble getting there in the heavy rain, which is rare in Costa Rica. Thanks for the great stay!"

"An unforgettable stay at Sendero Nosara
I absolutely loved my stay! It’s perfectly located in the heart of Nosara. It’s just steps from the beach and within walking distance of amazing shops and restaurants. I came here to destress from busy city life, and the moment I arrived, I felt completely at ease. The space is fresh, beautifully designed, and instantly feels like home.
The entire team was wonderful — from the front desk to the bar, restaurant, management, and even the surf shack staff. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to be there, which created such a positive atmosphere throughout my stay.
The food deserves a special mention. Chef Oliver has truly curated something special — a high-end yet relaxed dining experience that captures the spirit of Nosara. Every dish was outstanding; you could honestly eat your way through the whole menu and not find a single miss.
Sendero isn’t just a hotel — it’s an experience. Peaceful, stylish, and full of heart. I can’t wait to return!

"My fiancé and I were traveling and checked into our rented condo, but unfortunately the AC was broken. We looked up AZURE and decided to check out this location for our week-long stay. From the minute we walked in the door, the staff was kind and welcoming, and we received a tour of the resort and immediately fell in love with it. We decided to book and stay for the week.
I have had the opportunity to travel to other all‑inclusive locations, and this one was by far the best place I have stayed at. This resort is truly 5 stars. The staff, food, and rooms were all top‑notch. This is a smaller, adults‑only resort; we enjoyed the pools and quiet atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to relax and unwind."
"Room was spacious and super clean. The view is just incredible. The staff is amazing and friendly. Definitely recommend this hotel if you are anywhere in the vicinity."
